In Aarhus, Denmark, a stunning waterfront residential project was recently completed—the white, unusually shaped building looks just like a giant iceberg. A collaboration between JDS Architects, Cebra, SeARCH and Louis Paillard, the project consists of several pointy-roofed blocks with small, geometric windows cut into their sides. Designed to provide as many occupants as possible with waterfront views, the building wasn’t meant to resemble an iceberg initially, but simply came to be so along the way.
Easter is a great holiday, it’s warm, homey and very spring-like. There are many ways to decorate your home for Easter. Modern houses often feature a design that integrates a swimming pool into the house structure thus not only saving space on the sight but also creating a connection between indoors and outdoors. The connection between the house and swimming pool makes for an interesting exterior.
Photographer Tom Hussey has created a thought-provoking ad campaign for Novartis’ Exelon Patch, which is a prescriptive medicine for the treatment of mild to moderate Alzheimer’s dementia. In his poignant photo series, Hussey depicts old people who see reflections of their younger selves in mirrors in order to reflect the confusion that plagues Alzheimer’s patients on a daily basis. These award-winning pictures poetically illustrate the receding memories of people who suffer from dementia, who often start losing their newer memories first and are left with older ones of their youth.

Augusto Esquivel is obsessed with comparisons of reality and potential and the balance between them, in art: the idea of chaos in perfect order: an object seemingly solid to the eye can also be fragile and inconsistent to the touch; a common object used to create a piece of art becomes transformed into something complicated and intriguing. He realized how insignificant and small a simple sewing button can be as it lays in his grandmother’s sewing box, but at the same time how unique and precious it can become as part of a work of art. He has created these Awesome
Saffire Freycinet is luxury resort opened on Tasmania’s East Coast in Australia. Very few resorts manage to get all the ingredients right when opening but we can assure you, this beauty of a hotel has ticked all the right boxes. We were literally left speechless — and that takes some doing — as we feasted our eyes on the breathtaking vistas, indulged our senses in our gorgeous suite and in the spa, and devoured the food that made any thought of a diet ridiculous. A four-hour walk on the pristine beach helped, too. These were the first notes we scribbled just after departing:

When old structures are preserved and lovingly restored, we gain in so many ways. Not only do we preserve materials that would otherwise end up in the waste stream, we also respect the heritage of each building, and add to the character of the surrounding area. Sadly, restoring
